Welcome to Creek Street Christian College, located in the City of Greater Bendigo, central Victoria.
Our College, founded in 1981, seeks to provide a high standard of Christian education for the families of our city and beyond. Over time our school has continued to grow and expand so that we now have over 270 students in classes from prep to year 10. With our school contained on one campus this offers unique opportunities for the various year levels to support one another and for students to participate in school wide activities as appropriate.
At the Junior School level, Prep to Year 4, a strong emphasis is placed on the areas of literacy and numeracy and parents are regularly kept informed of their children’s progress in these key subjects. Christian teachers provide a positive and encouraging environment in which to learn and all students are encouraged to give of their best.
As students move into the Middle School, Year 5 to Year 7, they are gradually introduced to a wider range of subjects and a wider range of teaching staff, while maintaining the strong college commitment to the further development of their literacy and numeracy skills.
Moving into our Senior School, at Year 8, students participate in a growing range of subjects with the introduction of our Electives program. This program which seeks to lead students into their chosen career paths, or just give them a taste of the possibilities, continues to expand their learning opportunities further in Year 9 & 10. These subjects, added to English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities, Health and Sport, include the options of Cabinet Making, VET Hospitality, Creative Design, Performing Arts, Music, Automotive Technology, Digital Photography, Visual Arts, Extension Mathematics, Extension Science, Outdoor Recreation, French, Media, Physical Education and Community Service.
It is our belief that the opportunities we present to the students will form a strong foundation for the remainder of their lives as they grow and develop in a Christ-centered environment. Central to the College’s vision is the desire to see our students develop their God given gifts and abilities so they are equipped to impact their community, our nation and the world for the Lord Jesus Christ.
